Involves the comparison and/or identification of firearms evidence such as expended bullets, or expended cartridge cases. Samples for Test 5261 are different from the samples used in Test 5262; the evidence type (expended bullets or expended cartridge cases) is alternated yearly between both tests. This allows participants to receive both types of firearms evidence in one year by ordering both tests, or to stay with the same test year after year and receive both evidence types every two years.
This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043:2010.
Samples ship in May.
