5501 Human vs Non-Human Bone Origin Determination Test (2024) Price: $185.00

Enrollment Closed

This test is available only in a digital download format.

This test is designed for professionals who are required to demonstrate competency in examining bones for medicolegal significance. Participants are asked to examine digital images of bones to determine their human or non-human origin. The sample set consists of four to six items. Participants receive several digital images of each questioned item from varying views. Each digital image will include a scale (L-ruler).

Images are transmitted via a digital download from a zip folder (.tif format). Due to large file sizes, advanced photo image software may be required to open and view these images. Participants are not limited to conducting only on-screen comparisons and may employ any other method. However, because of differences in printing technology, CTS cannot guarantee the quality of images printed from the digital media.

All digital download test materials, including images and response form, are only available on www.cts-portal.com. The information necessary to access the test materials will be provided via e-mail to the primary contact on file on the day of the test release.

This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043:2010.

Test materials are made available in January.

Enrollment deadline: 1 November 2023
