5251 Serial Number Restoration (2024) Price: $284.00
Participants receive a piece of bar stock with a six (6) character serial number that has been obliterated as well as a piece of aluminum bar stock intended as a standard for the size, shape, and positioning of the stamped alphanumeric characters used in the serial number. Participants are asked to report the recovered serial number along with the methodologies used in the preparation and recovery processes. The substrate used for this test may be steel, aluminum or zinc.
This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043:2010.
Samples ship in July.
