5141 Tenprint Examination (2022) Price: $205.00

This test is available only in a digital download format.

This Tenprint Examination test is designed for law enforcement agencies and others who perform tenprint comparison and analysis. This test provides the opportunity for tenprint examiners to conduct comparisons between both individual prints and full tenprint cards. These digital-only sample sets include inked and live scanned prints for comparison in both TIF and JPG formats.

The test consists of two sections. In the first section, participants are asked to compare several pairs of individual prints to determine if each pair originates from a single source. In the second section, participants compare several questioned tenprint cards to a pool of tenprint standards to determine if any of the questioned cards share a source with any of the standards.

The Tenprint Examination test is presented in an online only form. Images are transmitted via a digital download from a zip folder of digital media (.tif and .jpg formats, 1000 dpi resolution). Due to large file sizes, advanced photo image software may be required to open and view these images.  Participants are not limited to conducting only on-screen comparisons and may employ any other method. However, because of differences in printing technology, CTS cannot guarantee the quality of images printed from the digital media.

All digital download test materials, including samples and response form, are only available on www.cts-portal.com. The information necessary to access the testing materials will be provided via e-mail to the primary contact on file on the day of the test release.

This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043:2010.

Testing materials are made available in May.
