This test involves the comparison of 8-12 latent prints with four sets of inked known/exemplar prints. The latent prints may consist of any part of the hand, palms to tips. Samples are available in a choice of physically printed images or as a digitally downloadable file.
The images are the same for all formats but are not the same as those used in Test 5161/5.
Test 5171 consists of physically printed images.
This test is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043.
Samples ship in August. All formats are released at the same time and contain the same images; reporting aspects of all formats are also combined.
